My furniture is full of curves and lines that make it feel like a sculpture. I try to tread lightly and leave the planet in a better place than I found it. Most of my timber is local, mainly from windblown trees that I mill and dry myself.

Events - and proposed events - in 2013

A busy year on the way. Exhibitions around the country - dates below
Friday 5 - Sunday 7 April. Craft in Focus, Canterbury (Kent College). A long way south, but good to catch up with colleagues who also support Craft in Focus once more.
While down in the south:
Goldsmiths' Centre, London 9 - 13 April. "Festival of Silver - Contemporary Furniture and Silversmithing Exhibition", A highly prestigious event, open only to holders of Bespoke Guild Marks and top silversmiths. I'm privileged to have had two pieces chosen for this - my extending drop leaf table (which has a Guild Mark), and the free-standing cantilevered shelving unit.

A new venue for me at the end of April (27 and 28) at the East Anglian Game Fair. Both this and the early April event, are to showcase some new, limited edition products - my same quality, but perhaps more affordable to many.
Moving into May - Spring Fling over the late May Bank Holiday, at my own workshop in Langholm.

Then - as yet unconfirmed - but hopefully - abroad to Boston USA. Having been included in the book 'Furniture with Soul' I've been invited to its exhibition at the NAGA gallery.

Later in the year, I hope to attend one or two of the Scottish Furniture Makers Association events - in Aberdeen and Glasgow.

I've now a Facebook page too - so please keep an eye on this for more regular updates, picture and news.
And please - come and see me - at any or all of the above! I'd love to see you and talk 'wood'. regards Daniel
