I've not been up to speed on this diary - mind too busy elsewhere!
Have spent time recently in the woods around Bewcastle with my trusty Woodmiser sawmill - having been offered some oak, beech and sycamore. Freshly felled, and now planked up - to be airdried over the next few years, and then it will be ready to turn into some lovely furniture. Leftover bits of logs will keep me warm over the next winter!...

A brand new website called "Makers' Eye" should be going live this week. It includes a few selected furniture makers, regarded as being as the best in Britain (and some in the world)- and yes, I'm privileged to be amongst them. Events with the Scottish Furniture Makers Association went well - at the beginning of October at Dovecot Studios in Edinburgh, and at the end of the month at the SECC in Glasgow. It worked really well having a group of talented makers, all with differing styles of furniture, on the same stand. And December will now be very busy!
