Desk with floating drawers

This deceptively simple desk was designed in conjunction with a very smooth and clean-looking dining table, and the low-back chairs. It can be made in different woods, and is shown here in sycamore.  The drawers appear to float unsupported in the air, creating an overall lightness to the appearance.
