The top of 'Still Water' represents a calming pool of water.

'Still Water' was created as part of a collaborative project 'After the Storm' shown at the Royal Botanic Gardens in Edinburgh and featuring work by Scottish makers using timber downed during storms. The top of 'Still Water' represents a calming pool of water; something deep in human nature that always soothes the soul.
